The Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Office of the Provost Records contain materials that document the daily operations of the office as well as program and project support. These records take many forms, including memos and reports, planning documents, committee minutes and associated records, and campus printed materials. The bulk of the records in the collection originate from between 1960-2005, with many records documenting administrative communications of the time, including the Office of the Provost, the Office of the President, College Deans, and others. Additionally, due to the office's historic role with the event, commecement make up a significant part of the collection. Finally, there is also a small section of of materials that offer limited documentation of now defunct colleges and schools that Ohio Northern University use to operate.

This collection is open for research. In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), records from the Committee on Academic Qualifications are considered student records and consequently are restricted from access for 72 years after their creation date.

Administrative History
In support of the University's committment to student learning, the Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for supporting the work of the faculty, whose teaching, advising, and scholarship are the foundation of the academic programs. In addition to overseeing the campus colleges, the office also supervises the university libraries, athletic programs, the Registrar's Office, the Freed Center for the Performing Arts, the Office of Institutional Research, ad the Office of Information Technology.
