Biographical Note
Harold A. Bolz was the Dean of the College of Engineering at the time of President Loeschner’s resignation, and agreed to serve as Interim President while the University worked to appoint a new, permanent President. Bolz would only have to serve in this role for a few months, as the Board of Trustees appointed DeBow Freed as the new president on September 15, 1979.
